Summer 2017, That’s a Wrap!

Can you feel it, that subtle change in the air? That sudden craving for a pumpkin spice latte? That urge, nay, that need to curl up with a good book? Yep, it’s that time of the year again!

All fall clichés aside, we’re more than excited for the new season! The colors, the smells, we love the fall just like anybody else! But we’re equally saddened to say goodbye to Summer 2017.

Long gone are the sun-kissed sunny days of early June, and that perfect July heat that made lasting memories of fun in the sun possible. And let’s not forget that August heat-wave that shocked us all back to reality!

Now is a good time as any to sit back, relax, and look back at what made this season so special to us. Here to send off Summer 2017 is a quick list to re-cap those special events that made this summer so special!

Comic-Con International

Nerds and pop-culture enthusiasts of the world unite! San Diego’s granddaddy of summer festivals is, of course, Comic-Con, and for good reason!

After all, year after year people come from all over the country to partake in the four-day event, and this year was no exception!

With over 700 vendors and over 120,000 event badges sold, the San Diego Convention Center was filled to capacity with event-goers eager to take in all that Comic-Con 2017 had to offer!

San Diego Pride

San Diego is known for having one of the biggest Pride celebrations nationwide, rivaling those of other major cities such as San Francisco, Chicago, and even New York City!

This year was no exception, and with a festival attendance of over 40,000 and a parade attendance at over 100,000, it may very well be the biggest Pride celebration our city has seen yet!

We’re proud to be San Diego Pride’s main provider of tents and equipment rentals. With over 200 canopies and over 2,500 square feet of dance floor, we helped transform Balboa Park into the perfect festival for equality!

ArtWalk @ NTC Liberty Station

The pinnacle of art and creativity in San Diego is celebrated at the annual ArtWalk festival, set against the backdrop of historical NTC Liberty Station.

This year the typically green field in front of Ingram Plaza was bursting with color as over 200 artists came from near and far to showcase their beautiful creations at the festival’s 12th year!

With over 20,000 attendees, we had the honor of setting the blank canvas for the festival, with over 2,000 square feet of tenting for artist to display their works and for art-enthusiasts to appreciate them!
